Day-by-Day Itinerary
10:00 AM — Armbrustschützenzelt

One of the most traditional large tents, closely tied to Munich’s crossbow-shooting tradition. Expect classic Bavarian atmosphere, hearty food, brass-band energy and Augustiner beer.
Try: roast chicken (Hendl), pork specialties, pretzel, and a Maß if desired. Eat early; the day is long.
12:00 PM — Löwenbräu-Festzelt

Easy to recognize by its huge lion and tower. The tent is lively, classic, and known for Löwenbräu Oktoberfest beer.
Try: Wiesn-Hendl, Schweinshax’n, sausages with sauerkraut, or Kaiserschmarrn.
4:00 PM — Kufflers Weinzelt

A different Oktoberfest experience: wine, sparkling wine and a more restaurant-like menu. Paulaner beer is served until 9 PM.
Try: steak frites, duck, fish, tartare, or classic Wiesn chicken; this is a good day to branch out from heavy pork dishes.
8:30 AM — Neuschwanstein Day Trip

Private car service: Hotel pickup at 8:30 AM from Cocoon Hauptbahnhof, with transportation to Neuschwanstein and return drop-off at the hotel.
King Ludwig II’s 19th-century fairy-tale castle is one of Bavaria’s signature sights. The mountain setting is as memorable as the interiors.
Bring: supportive shoes, light rain layer, water, and a small day bag. There can be steep walking between Hohenschwangau, shuttle/bus stops, viewpoints and the castle.
6:30 PM — Augustiner-Keller
Historic Munich beer hall and beer garden known for Augustiner beer from wooden barrels, vaulted cellars and classic Bavarian dishes.
Try: roast pork, schnitzel, sausages, Obatzda with pretzel, and Augustiner beer.
12:00 PM — Schottenhamel Festhalle

Historically important: this is where Munich’s mayor taps the first Oktoberfest keg on opening day and declares “O’zapft is!” It is one of the iconic tents to experience.
Tip: Use the morning for a compact city sight such as Marienplatz + Asamkirche, but leave enough time to return/drop items at the hotel and reach your table before noon.
12:00 PM — Paulaner Festzelt

A polished classic tent with Paulaner Oktoberfest beer, Bavarian food and a festive atmosphere. Friday gets busier as the day progresses.
Afterward: If everyone still has energy, finish with an early-evening stroll through the old town rather than committing to another heavy dinner.

Armbrustschützenzelt
Where on the map: upper-right row of the main grounds, between Hofbräu-Festzelt and Marstall.
From the main entrance on the east side, this is one of the closest large tents.
Löwenbräu-Festzelt
Where on the map: middle-left section, on Straße 4 near the Bavaria statue side of the grounds.
Look for the famous Löwenbräu lion and tower.
Kufflers Weinzelt
Where on the map: lower-left/middle section, just south of Löwenbräu-Festzelt near Matthias-Pschorr-Straße.
Your move from Löwenbräu to Weinzelt is entirely within the festival grounds.
Schottenhamel Festhalle
Where on the map: upper-middle section on Wirtsbudenstraße, between Paulaner Festzelt and Hacker-Festzelt.
This is the tent where the mayor traditionally taps the first Oktoberfest keg.
Paulaner Festzelt
Where on the map: upper-middle/left section, immediately west of Schottenhamel Festhalle.
It sits across from the Löwenbräu area, with Wirtsbudenstraße running in front.
Munich Sights Worth Adding
Marienplatz
Address: Marienplatz, 80331 München
Munich’s central square has been the civic heart of the city for centuries. The Neues Rathaus dominates the square, with the famous Glockenspiel drawing crowds.
Ideas: see the Glockenspiel, walk to Viktualienmarkt, browse Kaufingerstraße, step into Frauenkirche, or continue to Hofbräuhaus.
English Garden
Address: Englischer Garten, München
Created in the late 18th century, this vast city park is larger than many famous urban parks and combines lawns, streams, woodland, beer gardens and surfing at the Eisbach wave.
Ideas: watch Eisbach surfers, stroll toward the Chinese Tower, stop at a beer garden, or walk the southern park after visiting the Residenz.
Asamkirche

Built by the Asam brothers in the 18th century, this small church is one of Munich’s most dramatic late-Baroque/Rococo interiors—ornate, theatrical and easy to visit in a short stop.
Ideas: pair it with Marienplatz, Sendlinger Tor and Viktualienmarkt.
Munich Residenz

Former palace of Bavaria’s Wittelsbach rulers, expanded over centuries into a huge complex of state rooms, courtyards, collections and the ornate Antiquarium.
Ideas: allow 2–3 hours for the main museum; add the Treasury if the group enjoys decorative arts and royal history. Pair with Odeonsplatz and Hofgarten.

Oktoberfest & Munich Tips
For the tents
- Be at the correct tent entrance before your reservation time; large tents can take longer to find than expected.
- Carry confirmations/vouchers securely and keep screenshots available offline.
- Cash is still useful at Oktoberfest. Have euros in smaller denominations for tips and incidental purchases.
- Tip servers appropriately and settle the table before your reservation block ends.
- A Maß is one liter; pace the day and alternate with water/food.
What to wear/carry
- Comfortable shoes are essential even with traditional dress.
- Use a small crossbody bag; large bags face restrictions and slow entry.
- Bring a light rain layer and a portable phone battery.
- Download your maps and key confirmations before leaving the hotel Wi-Fi.
Getting around
- Your hotel is well positioned for walking to Oktoberfest and using Hauptbahnhof for S-Bahn/U-Bahn/trams.
